Windshield Repair

We provide mobile rock chip repair on windshields as long as you can cover the damage with a quarter.  Anything larger than a quarter we would not attempt to repair due to our experience with unfavorable outcomes.  

When a rock or road debris smacks your windshield, it almost sounds like a gunshot. It really can scare you, but fortunately the windshield sometimes doesn’t break. Why? Because every impact is different and the windshield has two pieces of glass with a plastic layer of laminate between them. (Tempered Door  glass is a little different.) The rock or debris usually leaves a nick, chip, crack or bulls-eye damage, but in some cases the windshield  does not have to be replaced? If the damage is in the driver’s line of sight, then yes.  If the damage is larger than a quarter in size, then yes.  If the damage is within 4 inches of any side of the glass, then yes. But if the damage is elsewhere, the damage can be repaired most of the time, and some insurance companies pay for this repair in full, waiving the deductible.  But you must act quickly the same day if possible and keep the vehicle or glass out of the heat and direct sunlight.  Don’t take the vehicle to a car wash either. If you don’t get it repaired right away, the damage could spread across the entire windshield.
